"Soul Servers" deliver Thanksgiving meals to 800

November 26, 2009, 8:11AM HUNTSVILLE, AL — Inside their tent deep in the woods where they've lived for almost a year, Jennifer and Danny Vann cried Wednesday morning as they remembered where they were last Thanksgiving.

They were in a small apartment in Florida with their 4-year-old son, she said. They baked a turkey and taught the boy to ride a bike. In a year's time, sicknesses and job losses landed them in this tent, and their son was adopted by a family who can take care of him, she said.
